In order for dogs to enjoy their full happy life they need to be able to be off the lead running free. Letting your dog off the lead for the first time is a scary prospect for many owners. Perhaps your dog will recall to you perfectly with nobody else around, but like millions of other owners your does doesn’t listen to you as soon as another dog appears.
Through completing this course you will soon be equipped with tools and strategies to confidently let your dog off the lead and have them return to you.
We will cover:
- The building blocks of training in the house – It is vital to install basic training with your dog in the house before you even consider letting them off the lead.
- Further training in your garden or outdoor space – We practise the same basic training in the garden where there are more distractions. We show you three fun exercises that we suggest you try in order to establish the recall in the garden.
- Recall techniques when out in a park – Just like the exercises in the garden there are various different recall training techniques we can use when we are out in a field.
- Recalling your dog away from other dogs – Utilising all the skills learnt in this video you will now be able to recall your dog on a walk with people and dogs around!
